That sounds like a great big celebration:) I love hosting dinners..I usually make my turkey with nuts and apples:)Kisses, sweetie pie
I have yet to make my own turkey.. I would have to ask Dylan how he did it last year 😉 We were watching a great throw down last night with the Pioneer Woman & Bobby Flay making Thanksgiving dinner. Did you see? They both covered the outside of the turkey with lots of butter & fresh herbs.. I'm sure yours will be great whatever you do! xo
i've tried the brown bag thing and loved it, i've tossed it in and covered it til near the end and it was good, but not the best; i should ask chef about this one. let me know if you want any tips!
you're brave hosting for that many people!!
@Annie…will definitely watch that show! @Carrie… yes any tips from Chef would be appreciated!! I have made turkey for years but kind of want something a bit different! @Diana…the nuts and apples sound good too!
Hi darling,I am thinking about brining a turkey this year!
I made one yesterday for J's family. I put some butter under the skin and put olive oil and a tiny bit of salt all over and it came out perfect! Good luck cooking! xoxo
18 people.. omg! You will definitely be needing one of my holiday cocktails! I have never made a turkey so I have no tips, but I'm sure yours will be DELISH!!! xxxxxxx
Embarrassed to say that I've never had to make one before. Good luck though! Sounds like you will be quite busy!
I've never done it but you are my hero for serving 18 people!
I have never made one, but my friend told her her MIL told her to slit the skin, reach up underneath and rub butter on it, eeeeuuuh! Have a great holiday! XX!
I've never in my life cooked a turkey…..it all seems extremely difficult to me. LOL but I'm SO look forward to hearing how your went!! xoxo M
